How sessions work
The practical agreement between you and the practice. Last updated 9 October 2026.
Sessions
Sessions are with Nimisha Shrivastava, RCI-registered clinical psychologist. Individual sessions are 50 minutes; couples sessions are a double session. Therapy is a steady, confidential space; it is not an emergency service, and the helplines on every page are there for a crisis.
Booking and payment
A booking is reserved when you choose a time and confirmed when the fee is paid. The fee for each session type is stated on the home page, and a payment link is emailed when you book. A booking still unpaid four hours before it starts is released so that someone else can use the time, and nothing is charged.
Cancellations and changes
Let the practice know 24 hours ahead and there is no charge; a paid session is refunded in full to the same payment method, usually within five to seven working days. Later than that, the session fee applies. You can move or cancel a session from your confirmation email or your client login.
Online sessions
Online sessions use a secure video link that becomes active ten minutes before the start. You are responsible for a private space and a working connection at your end; if the connection fails, the session is rescheduled rather than charged.
Confidentiality
What you share stays between you and the practice, with the narrow legal exceptions, a serious risk to your safety or someone else’s, which are explained plainly in the first session.
Receipts and records
A receipt is emailed after every payment and kept in your client login. Records are held as described in the privacy policy.
