Who I work with
Some of the things people bring here
You don’t need a diagnosis, or the right words. These are the difficulties I work with most often.
- Low mood that will not lift
- Worry, panic and overthinking
- Intrusive thoughts and rituals (OCD)
- Stress at work, and burnout
- The after-effects of difficult or traumatic experiences
- Adult ADHD
- Relationships, and the argument that keeps coming back
- Patterns in yourself you’d like to understand
- Adjusting to a change you didn’t choose
- Feeling disconnected from yourself, or from the world
If what you’re carrying isn’t on this list, write to me and I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right person. If I’m not, I’ll try to point you to someone who is. Email Nimisha
How it works
What happens after you book
Three small steps. None of them need you to have anything figured out.
Step one
Book a time
Choose a session type, a day and a time. A confirmation and a calendar invite arrive within a minute.
Step two
A short intake form
Four questions: how to reach you, how you’d like to meet, and a line about what brings you — only if you want to share it.
Step three
The first conversation
Fifty minutes. Mostly me asking gentle questions and you deciding how much to answer. At the end, we decide together whether to continue.

About
Who you’d be talking to
I’m an RCI-registered clinical psychologist (Reg. No. A114126), with an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from ABVIMS Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. I’m currently doing a PhD at Christ University, Bengaluru, on adapting Schema Therapy for complex trauma in an Indian context.
Over the last few years I’ve worked in hospitals, mental health organisations and private practice — more than 2,500 sessions with individuals and couples. I draw on CBT, Schema Therapy, ACT and mindfulness-based approaches, and I’m less interested in labels than in understanding what is actually happening for you.
Writing
Notes between sessions
Short, practical pieces for the 11pm reader.
Why worry gets louder at night
The mind does not switch off at bedtime; it switches audiences. Here is what that means, and three small things that help before you reach for your phone.
What the first session is actually like
Most people arrive unsure what to say. That is fine — the first hour is mostly me asking gentle questions and you deciding how much you want to answer.
When the same argument keeps coming back
Couples rarely fight about the dishes. A way of noticing the pattern underneath, and one thing to try before the next time.
Questions
Things people ask before booking
If yours isn’t here, ask in the intake form or by email. There are no silly questions.
Yes. What you share stays between us, with the narrow legal exceptions — a serious risk to your safety or someone else’s — which we go through plainly in the first session.
Unhurried, mostly. I ask about what brought you here and what you are hoping for; you decide how much to say. There is no test to pass and nothing to prepare.
Let me know 24 hours ahead and there is no charge. Later than that, the session fee applies. You can reschedule from your confirmation email or your client login.
You do not need to. If it helps: a quiet room, headphones for online sessions, and a few minutes to yourself before we start.
No. Many people come without either. If an assessment or a psychiatrist’s input would help, I will say so and we will talk about it together.
Both work, and some people alternate. Online sessions happen over a secure video link; in-person sessions are in Bengaluru.
